OHECA has scheduled a board and membership meeting on Monday, September 21 in Meeting Room 1 of the Pohick library. Our guest speaker is Springfield Supervisor Pat Herrity. The board meeting is scheduled from 6:30pm to 7:00pm. The membership meeting will commence at 7:00pm.

OHECA invited Supervisor Herrity to address his recent visits to Material Recovery Facilities (MRF) in Elkridge, MD and Manassas, where he learned how recyclables you put at your curbs are sorted and their disposition. Based on advancements made at the MRFs in recent years, Herrity is proposing the return to single stream glass recycling, i.e., putting glass in your bins once again. 

We ask that your initial questions stay on the core recycling topic. Once those questions are exhausted, Supervisor Herrity will accept questions and comments you have on any topic, but hopefully on issues most relevant to Orange Hunt Estates.
