This special event is scheduled on Saturday, April 25 for 3 hours from 9:00 am to noon in the parking lot of Orange Hunt Elementary School. This activity is supported by OHECA, Winston-Knolls Civic Association and Rolling Valley Section 8-D (WK-II) HOA as a community-wide event. The following items can be shredded; office paper (any color), manila folders, staples, paper clips, rubber bands, binder clips, hanging file folders, receipts, envelopes, and of course paper, paper and more paper. The following items are NOT accepted for shredding; cell phones, batteries of any kind, 3-ring binders, garbage of any kind, newspapers, credit cards, CDs, cardboard, magazines, x-rays and hardcover books. Because 100% of the shredded paper is recycled, please be sure to remove all substantial cardboard, plastic and metal from your materials. Batteries will cause a fire! OHECA hopes members and residents can take advantage of this free event and help get rid of some annoying paper clutter.
